Adventure list #13: Go ghost-hunting in at least 5 different haunted locations
COMPLETED
This may seem a little strange, but it's basically my attempt to prove or disprove the idea that there are ghosts in existence. For reference I am using the "National Directory to Haunted Places" by Dennis Hauck.
#1: Winchester House: Many reports have come in of seeing ghosts of past caretakers, floating lights and hearing the piano playing late at night. I've been here twice and have yet to see anything.
#2: Alcatraz: Of course, many reports of ghosts at this prison. I tried to explore it as thoroughly as I could, but found nothing.
#3: Snuffer's restaurant, Dallas: reports of seeing a ghost in the hallway in this building. Again, I neither saw nor felt anything unusual. I have been here three times.
#4: Whaley house, Oldtown part of San Diego
Robin and I checked a couple different places in Oldtown looking for ghosts. We didn't see anything but a few strange things did happen - in the Whaley house, I felt my camera tugged on twice, hard, as I was speaking to one of the employees there. Also at the Casa de Estudillo, I took a picture and the flash went off - except it flashed red instead of a normal flash. I later read that this happened to a team of investigators in the same area... right before they were chased out by a ghost!
The investigators...
This is a grave in El Campo Santo Cemetery next to the Whaley House.
More pictures to come after the film comes back...including the spooky red flash picture...
#5 - St Louis Cemetery, New Orleans. One of the many cemeteries in New Orleans (I think there are 47 total). We didn't do a lot of ghost hunting here but I am counting it anyway. The cemeteries are very interesting and worth checking out!
